He is the secretary of the congress of the Vladimir branch of the Dawn (Rus. “Rassvet”) party. On 10 October 2024, the homes of local activists were searched as part of the criminal case initiated against him. On the same day, he was taken into custody. The head of the party Ekaterina Duntzova later said that a case of public justification of terrorism was initiated against Germizin for some posts and comments he made on Telegram. According to the investigation, he called for blowing up state buildings. The Vladimir-based activist Danil Beliakov, author of the anti-war project Resonance, who has studied Germizin’s comments in several Telegram communities, assumes that the reason were comments on news about arson attacks on military recruitment offices. On 5 February 2025, he was sentenced to two years in a general regime colony.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
