A resident of Ukraine, served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the official information by FSB, on 4 October 2023 he was detained during an exchange of fire between Russian border guards and Ukrainian servicemen who attempted to make a foray into the waters off the coast of Crimea. The other participants of the foray were killed, according to unconfirmed reports. The FSB published a video of Lubas' interrogation, during which he said that the group had planned to plant a Ukrainian flag on the territory of Crimea. Lyubas was taken into custody. A case was opened against him on attempted terrorist act, training for terrorist activities, illegal border crossing, smuggling and illegal transportation of weapons. On 3 September 2024, Lubas was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime penal colony.
