On March 24, 2022, he and four other defendants in the case underwent searches and were subsequently placed in pre-trial detention. Additionally, law enforcement conducted searches of at least 12 residents of Ufa in connection with the case.
The defendants have reported the use of violence during their transportation to court and instances of pressure by investigators while in pre-trial detention, urging them to expedite their review of the case materials.
According to Mediazona, Sergei Sapozhnikov, who also participated in the club's activities and is a witness in the case, provided testimony against the club members. According to Sapozhnikov, the group was allegedly involved in planning to seize power.
