A resident of Kazan, he was sentenced to 15 years in a high-security penal colony on 18 June 2025. This sentence was connected to a case involving a terrorist act and incitement to extremism and terrorism. The terrorism charges arose from an arson incident in February 2023, where he set fire to a window at the premises of the magistrate court in the Privolzhsky District of Kazan. The court found that Osiagin carried out this act at the request of an "unidentified individual" as a protest against the war in Ukraine. He was also charged with inciting extremism due to comments that, in the court's view, called for violence against government officials, including Vladimir Putin.
In court, Osiagin was described as an opponent of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and a member of the anarchist group "Combat Organisation of Anarcho-Communists."
