In December 2022, was fined 30,000 rubles under the administrative article on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the CAO) because of a comment on social media with the words "The ship didn't sink, the ship went to fuck because it was a Russian warship".

In January 2022, he was fined 30 thousand rubles in a case of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code), details are unknown.

On 30 March 2023 Kolosov was detained in a case of attempted participation in an illegal armed formation, later the charge was reclassified to preparation for participation in military actions on the territory of a foreign state for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation. He was accused of preparing to join the Freedom of Russia legion. Kolosov's acquaintance claims that he supported the legion, but did not intend to fight.

On 1 October 2024, Kolosov was sentenced to nine years in a strict regime colony. On 19 December 2024, the court of appeal reduced the sentence by two months.

In April 2025, it became known about a new criminal case against Kolosov - on the website of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow appeared the card of the session on the extension of his arrest in the case of confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state. In October 2025, Kolosov said in a letter that another charge had been added to the case - about public justification of terrorism. It later became known that the reason for the case was some conversations "in messenger with other people about 'joining the Legion'." Presumably, the correspondence involved provocateurs from the FSB. On 17 April 2026, taking into account the previous term, he was sentenced to 12 years in a strict regime colony.
