A resident of Saint Petersburg. In March 2024, he was added to the list of extremists and terrorists maintained by "Rosfinmonitoring". In August 2024, a case was sent to court charging him with publicly justifying terrorism, participating in a terrorist organisation, and encouraging others to join one, a case he faced alongside Fedor Konovalov. The charges related to leaflets posted in Saint Petersburg and Novgorod Oblast linked to the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the "Freedom of Russia Legion".

On 3 October 2024, Ladchenko was sentenced to 11 years in a high-security penal colony, with the first three years to be served in prison. On 19 February 2025, his sentence was reduced on appeal to 10 years and 8 months.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
