A resident of Chelyabinsk, a charter member of the Holy Trinity Church. In 2006, he was sentenced in a case of incitement to hatred, calls to extremism and mass disorder, allegedly due to his involvement in the actions of the National Bolshevik Party. On 1 May 2022, he and five other people were detained in a park where they had gone to watch a trade union rally. In April 2024, he was taken into custody on charges of publicly justifying terrorism. The reason for detention was comments in "VKontakte" (Russian social network), in which Ogoltsov expressed approval of the participants of the legion "Freedom of Russia" and the battalion "Azov". On 4 February 2025, the Chelyabinsk resident was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
