Resident of Kherson (Ukraine), farmer. He was taken into custody in Crimea on charges of involvement in the undermining of the Crimean bridge. According to Solomko's former lawyer, he was only connected to the case because some people asked him how he managed to deliver a cargo from abroad to Russia, while he had nothing to do with the cargo containing the explosives used on the bridge. Meanwhile, Oleg Antipov, another defendant in the case, claims that Solomko needed help in transporting the film and he turned to another defendant, his former fellow countryman Vladimir Zlob, who helped organise the transportation, during which, without their knowledge, explosives appeared inside the cargo. On 27 November 2025, Solomko was sentenced to life imprisonment.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
