Driver, served in the Ukrainian battalion "Aidar". After the outbreak of full-scale war, he did not take part in combat operations. In March 2022, he tried to leave occupied Mariupol, but was detained. He was charged under a number of articles of the Criminal Code of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. After the Russian Federation declared the DNR part of its territory, the charges were reclassified in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: Yermolinsky was accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organisation, forcible seizure of power and receiving training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities. Human rights activists point out that he is a prisoner of war, so he should not have been prosecuted actually for participation in hostilities, and in addition, they consider the charges absurd. On 17 October 2025, Yermolinsky was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime colony.

How to write the letter?

Getting started
What can I write about?
On censorship: what can’t I write?
Is it allowed to send photographs?
What language do I use in my letter?
What are the limits on sending letters?
Should I expect a reply and do I have to respond?
How do I maintain the correspondence?
I would like to send letters by myself, how do I do it?
How else can I support Russian dissidents?
It says that the prisoner I was assigned was tried for terrorism, or extremism or something else scary, what’s up with that?
