A case for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation was initiated against him due to his involvement in the activities of the 48th separate assault battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan of the AFU. On 6 February 2026, Musikhin was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony.
