Resident of Crimea, agronomist. Son of Remzi Kurtnezirov, prosecuted for involvement in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. On 5 February 2025, Emir was detained. According to his sister, during the search he was "planted" with some literature. On the same day, he was placed in custody on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation, namely the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. The party aims to establish a worldwide caliphate and some of its members have made very radical statements about Israel since the HAMAS attack of 7 October 2023. The party is banned in a number of States. Nevertheless, there is no evidence that any of its members were involved in the terrorist attacks. Experts consider the 2003 decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, which banned Hizb ut-Tahrir, to be unjustified.
