A journalist and the head of a local branch of the Yabloko party. In May of 2022, he was detained in connection with a criminal case for repeated discreditation of the Armed Forces. During a search, he allegedly surrendered two gas pistols and five cartridges that he had been storing illegally. A preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions was imposed on him. On 31st of March, 2023, Efimov was sentenced to a fine of 200,000 rubles.
In November of 2023, it became known that a case had been opened against him for repeated propaganda of Nazi symbols. He was again placed under a ban on certain actions.
In July of 2024, it came to light that another case of discrediting the Armed Forces opened against Efimov. These two cases were merged.
On 23rd of August, 2024, Efimov was taken into custody in connection with a third case of discrediting the Armed Forces. On 18th of October, 2024, he was put under house arrest. On 28th of January, 2025, Efimov was sentenced to two years' imprisonment in an open prison. On 28th of March, 2025, the appellate court reduced the sentence by six months.
On 4th of April, 2025, in the case concerning discreditation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and repeated propaganda of Nazi symbols, Efimov was sentenced to two years' imprisonment in an open prison.
